Hi Jeanne – if we don’t use it all before it’s time to come home, yes, we are hoping to bring a few liters back. If not ours then some other local variety for sure. I almost never leave Italy without at least a three liter can in my luggage!
Yum! Just read your latest update. Italy sounds amazingly tactile, visual, and edible. The olive oil appears a fun process to press.
Yes, holidays have become very commercial. Yet I recall our dining at Windows on the World way back when with a many-coursed meal, gospel choir, and excellent service. You were working with some firm that gave its holiday party in this historic place. Aw, was that maybe 30 years ago?
Yes, RR, I was working for Pellegrini and Associates (a design firm in Manhattan) at the time; it must have been just about 30 years ago in fact. That was some meal, wasn’t it?! So glad I had a chance to see the view from up there – and that you can still remind me about it!
