01.19.13 – Day 20

01.15.13 – Day 16
This drawing comes with a poem, written by my friend Janet Lee. It proved to be somewhat challenging – finding celadon green, and somehow making it work with tangerine orange!

Below are two more pieces (days 14 and 15) inspired by Janet’s words. On the left:

Such fun to see these poems in color! I really love these drawings – especially drawn to your take of the “basket of blue” and the clementines in the bowl. Thank you for having this conversation with me through our poem/art.
I’m glad you are enjoying seeing them, and having the conversation. It’s been great fun at this end too. The “basket of blue” was a favorite of mine, and seemed such a natural. I wasn’t sure if there had already been a drawing you saw that brought that image to mind. Clementines in the bowl proved much more challenging!
