It could be said that drawing has been the bain of my existence.
When I was in school I was told I wasn't "good enough" at drawing. I have been listening to that voice and trying to improve my drawing skills ever since. For many years, each January, I assigned myself the task of doing a drawing every day for 30 days. Sometimes the practice of drawing daily is a meditative one, and I am able to enjoy the simplicity of the way the pencil feels moving across the page. Other days the internal voices are too loud for me to access that peace.
Most of the drawings on this page were part of a project that I completed at the end of 2015: 120 Days/120 Drawings. As I reflect on those 120 days, and look at this group of drawings, I think I can safely say the good days outstripped the not so good ones.
